The staff and team in SDEC are very friendly and honestly, quite easy to work with. Instead of the bureaucracy of typical government agencies or ministries, SDEC operates like a corporation, and this allows for effective development of the tech industry in Sarawak. SDEC has done a lot for the start-ups and tech industry in Sarawak, while also creating ecosystems and communities to allow Sarawak to economically thrive, not only in Malaysia, but also ASEAN and regionally. New start-ups or even tech MNCs should definitely visit SDEC if you wish to enter Sarawak, and have state level implementation here.

They collaborated with us to promote VR and AR for tourism, eventhough it is not directly within their purview and mandate. This kind of forward thinking synergy is what the region of Sarawak needs to stand out in the eye of the world. All the best!

They are giving out grants, when giving all these, detail explanation on the requirements of awarding are not written clearly, and extend deadline again. I am afraid they extend deadline, which give chance for their favourite team to make submission, as well as putting those who are lawful and follow procedure in disadvantage, and make up the crowd only. I think SPRM shall step in and audit them so that they can improve. Thank you.
