Quick Answer

A graphic design agency in Malaysia produces the visual assets a business uses to market itself, including brand collateral, marketing artwork, presentation and report layouts, packaging artwork, and print-ready files. Agencies differ from freelance designers mainly in capacity and continuity: an agency can hold brand consistency across many assets and absorb staff turnover.

Frequently Asked Questions

A freelancer usually suits a single well-defined asset with a clear brief. An agency suits ongoing volume, multiple asset types running in parallel, or work where brand consistency must survive staff changes. Cost per asset is often lower with a freelancer; continuity and turnaround capacity are stronger with an agency.

Ask for editable source files in the original application, exported print-ready PDFs with correct bleed and crop marks, web-optimised exports, and a list of any licensed fonts or stock imagery with the scope of each licence. Without source files you cannot make future edits elsewhere.

CMYK is the four-ink process used for commercial printing and is what a printer needs. RGB is for screens and produces brighter colours that printing cannot always reproduce. Artwork designed only in RGB can shift noticeably when printed, so confirm your designer supplies a CMYK print-ready version.

Provide the purpose of the asset, where it will appear and at what size, mandatory brand elements, the text content finalised in advance, and two or three references showing the direction you want. Most revision cycles are caused by unfinished copy or by feedback arriving from several stakeholders separately.

Two to three rounds is a common inclusion in Malaysian design proposals, with further rounds charged separately. Confirm what counts as a round, since a single consolidated set of comments and several separate rounds of contradictory feedback are very different amounts of work.
